Just fitting new springs and shock absorbers to the front of my 2012 Fiat 500 Lounge. Is there a "right" way up for the springs? There doesn't appear to be any difference to the top or the bottom.

The Monroe springs I used had arrows that pointed upwards, there is a difference the lower has a definitive end that locates in the spring pan, this is my guide that shows the arrow

Yes the top of the spring is more narrow and is "flat" the bottom isn't flat, you mate the free end of the lower end against the stop, on the shock plate, this is on our 09 car later ones may have different springs?
