Taking out the carpet is just basic striping down!- but takes time all the seats have to come out sill trims and parts of the centre consul ! lots of small plastic trim buttons with the potential to break but perfectly doable my the home mechanic!

Good grief, that's way beyond my skill set of topping up the screenwash! definitely off to the garage ( 40 mins drive away) Thanks for the help though

Curious how you get on. I can understand your frustration, but be prepared for a piece of string quote to find and then fix.

Just might help before you drive 40 miles !

Basically if it's a recent purchase, go back to seller and ask. Just maybe you bought a pup or they sourced the leak and advised to punt the car.

Get somebody to sit in the car looking around the windows and dashboard whilst you spray the car with the hose pipe slowing spraying around every door and window

And leaving the AC off al the time is the best way to destroy the system. Compressor never used gets stuck. Oil in the system not circulated creates leaks in the seals that dry out. and AC is used to dehumidify the car.
