Hi, please could someone give me some advice on how to fix a heater control issue on a fiat 500S 2015, the water pump is new, the thermostat works fine and so does the heater matrix. The dial inside the car seems to have no resistance when selecting hot or cold, the front panel has been removed and the stick for the dial moves left to right but there is no resistance and it can be pushed all the way in and pops back out with a little help with some needle nose pliers. Is there a cable that could have detached, if so, please could someone advise how to fix (this doesn't have climate control, please see attached image for dash example)? Many thanks

You'll need to remove the trim under the gear stick to floor, which may also require the trim round the handbrake removing to easily get to the Torx screws, then look I think on the right side of the hvac unit, yes cable controlled also could be at the control panel end, I really hope its not the "climate control " type issue

Agreed! when undoing the screws its a good idea to have a workshop magnet on a stick to make SURE none of em make a bit for freedom into an inaccessible HOLE in the facia never to be seen again!.

Thanks for the advice. I'll hopefully be able to take apart thie weekend to investigate. Does anyone have any pictures of the havac unit where the link cable would have come loose or broken. Also, is the havac unit on the passenger or driver side where the link cables would be located? Many thanks
