Technical Fiat 1.4 tjet Issues

Good day

I drive a Fiat 500X 1.4 TJet turbo and i need advice please. if my car is warm and i drive it that the revs go over 3000rpm, then suddenly it starts to Jurk, or the engine light comes on and misfires then. Has anyone experienced this problem as well? What could be the reason for this? The car was recently serviced and new sparkplugs was fitted and is now doing this? Please can anyone help me with this?

Unfortunately you may need a code reader to get a pointer to the problem. I would check the plugs are properly fitter and the leads on firmly. If it was OK before service it may be just a loose wire that was disturbed. ALso check the air intake pipes secure and are not damaged or cracked. Easily done when removed.

For many years fitting new spark plugs has not been an issue for me but more recently I've had brand new plugs fail. It could be that you are having the same issues. If the car was perfectly OK prior to the service then (assuming the service did not include a cam belt change) it is more likely to be a plug issue.
