dont think there is actually any law against noise, only for the manufacturer, once car is off the forecourt, that law doesnt apply, its down to the idividual as far as noise goes.

for any one that has heard mine, think jamie did at red dot, thats only 87db, thats about as loud as id want to go, maybe a bit more 90 max, anything more and you go deaf.........I SAID DEAF:D

oh that surprises me because i know there is a law on bike exhausts as my mates mom got done for hers being too loud, 107db was what hers was if i remember correctly.

It helps if you know a friendly MOT tester ;) but you can get pulled if the police think it's too loud, bear in mind that most race tracks have a noise limit of around 100db which is loud anyway!

yeah thats what i meant, if the police "think" its too loud, there is excessive noise, and as for race tracks, 100db seems about the norm on a track day, but on race day i dunno, i mean F1 for instance, there more than hundread and i dare say touring cars are too, its all down to the individual as too whats too noisy, then there is the noise polution violation too, and breach of the peace, but cant see any law for specific levels.

like i said manu's have a limit of i think 86db for production (showroom) cars, but once it has left the forecourt, that law doesnt exist:cool::D

bikes i do beleive are govourned by a noise law of some sort, but cant remember off the top of my head
