I have a 21 plate fiat 500 that is intermittently going into limp mode with the engine management light, warning triangle and stop start deactivated light on. It has been into fiat for diagnostics and they have said the cam sensor appeared to be faulty so they replaced but this hasn’t solved the problem. From reading the threads it looks like it could be anything causing the issue. Does anyone have any idea?

Back to dealer ask for money back on part not needed to fix fault that's still there?
Car is back there now but dealer said they can’t read codes as the lights have gone out now. The codes are not being stored.

Just a longshot. Is the stop start battery in good health. Our recently sold 500 went into limp mode and gave us the light display routine when the battery decided to give up the ghost .

I took it to Halfords and they checked the battery and said it was good. Battery was also checked in May and they said ok too. The first time the lights appeared and the limo mode started were just after it was serviced.

Now there's a hint
I looked at the paperwork from service and it was a bronze service and appears just inspections done and oil changed. I rang the garage after the lights came on the first time and they said it’s nothing to do with anything they’ve done.
