Hello greetings from Turkey, I have a 2006 model eu4 1.3multijet 90hp grande. 270.000km I recently had the flywheel changed and since then my car starts late from time to time. My injectors, rail pump and rail distributor pipe have been checked but I can't find the problem. Sometimes it starts right away, sometimes I have to crank it for 30-40 seconds. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold. Do you have any ideas or experiences, I would be very happy.

Isn’t the crank sensor in that area? If so is it possible they’ve damaged it whilst swapping the flywheel?
Thanks, Yes, I thought of it, but wouldn't it be working then, or could it be another symptom I should pay attention to?

Forgot to ask do you have an engine management light on or anything? Crank sensors can cause intermittent starting issues. Another possibility is the gearbox earth strap has been incorrectly reattached or damaged which could have similar issues without necessarily triggering EML

Hiçbir uyarı vermiyor, topraklamayı kontrol ettim ve iyi görünüyor. Krank sensörünü yenisiyle değiştirip önce bu olasılığı değerlendirmem gerektiğini düşünüyorum.

It gives no warning, I checked the grounding and it looks good. I think I should replace the crank sensor with a new one and evaluate this possibility first.
You could do, depends on cost i suppose. There’ll be plenty on here that will say “just chucking parts at it isn’t the answer” but it would it eliminate it. If it was starting fine before the flywheel change you’d think it’s something they’ve disturbed during the work

Yes, the problem is that the crank sensor was damaged and metal dust got on it. I think all the dust got collected there when the flywheel was changed. Thank you all. I cleaned the old sensor and put it back and it's fixed for now.
