Looks like time to the marigolds out!

There must be a lot of mud and crap in there if you've got marigolds!Looks like time to the marigolds out!![]()

You open the one at the top of the radiator and the one on the heater pipe, Fill very slowly until it starts to flows out of the radiator, close the radiator bleed screw, continue untill it flows out of the heater tube and close bleed valve, take it for a spin, open the bleed on the heater tube, slowly untill it just starts to hiss, wait until liquid comes out. Tighten and wait until it's cooled down, remove the radiator and top up the coolant if necessaryDad was the one who did the thermostat / bled the system. I just checked with him and he said he only opened the top one?
Yes, didn't have the noise before changing the thermostat. There very simple cars to bleed as long as you don't fill them too quickly, there's a one way valve built into the thermostat, so should self bleed fairly quickly
If it's been bleed properly, and If you can here bubbles circulating on first start up there's almost certainly something, low coolant level, air being sucked being the most common
I take it the noise is since the thermostat change
A sort of burbling, like water running through something on start up. To be fair, it stops pretty much as soon as you set off. It's why I wondered if it was just water caught I the scuttle and the start up vibrations were dislodging it.Bubbles or sloshing
Yep. It's as you turn the key and it kicks into life.On first fire up of the engine even while stationary
Haven't seen any staining.Bubbles circulating before and after the thermostat change
Sounds more like
Air being suck via a small leak
Any pink staining anywhere
Or
Gasses being add
Any loss of power, knocking noise under acceleration, especially when cold
Any scum in the expansion tank
Had this a few times from weeping core plugs and loose hose clamps
Is there is a small loss of fluid as well
