Technical Engine cutting out

My 2015 Fiat 500X keeps cutting out when I have been driving for a while and the engine gets warm. Then it just cuts out and stops. It starts fine and I have had a new battery. It has had a full diagnostics done on it - and no faults came up. Has anyone had this problem?

What was the interface / program used to diagnose the car?

Top Dead Centre Sensor, it lets the ECU know when the engine is at Top Dead Centre, if the ECU loses sight of it it shuts the engine off to avoid a catastrophic failure.

When the TDCS starts to breakdown it fails when the engine gets hot.

When it cools down it works until the heat gets to it again.

Its usually an easy fix.

Its a ten year old car, so I think that's what it is.
