Hi I have a fiat ducato motor home on a T plate. The engine cooling fan does intermittently stays on resulting in me disconnecting the battery to prevent it from draining the power.
Looking into it I have read it could be a sticking relay, faulty sensor but have no idea where to locate these.
Could anyone assist please.

Ducato 1.9 Diesel

A 1999 Ducato will be an x230 model.

On the x230 the relays are located behind the LH lower dash panel. Pictures have been posted on forum. Relay faults are rare, so you problem is more probably a faulty radiator thermostat. I used to own a 1990 Talbot Express, on which I had blips on the electrical system, which I eventually traced to a faulty fan thermostat causing one of the fans to be energised very briefly. On that vehicle (actually a rebadged Peugeot J5), the fan thermostat was low down on the vehicle RHS of the radiator.
I hope that the above helps. Please report your resolution or progress on this thread.
