I’m constantly bugged by a message saying the rear doors are open when I know they are not. This also affects the central locking, and on board computer. Any ideas on how to remedy the problem, please.

I guess you mean the Ducato 2.3 (litre) 130 (hp) because thedre is no 1.3
Whatever - you get that message when a load compartment door - including the side door which they count as a rear door - is not fully closed. I suspect something on rear or side door has worn out of adjustment. Try giving it a good slam - while pressing the rear of the side door in when you close it.

Could also be the doblo 1.3 :)

There are threads on this problem with the doblo door on the forum.

Thanks, for the info. Yes, I should have typed 130. Sometimes a good slam works a treat but I guess as it persists messing about, a new unit might be the solution. Thanks again

Try finding the threads about the similar problem in the Doblo, there are a couple of them.

I think the part number will be different (but you'll never know) but I think the logic of it is the same as in the Ducato. And that solution might help. As far as I remember it was the contact on the side door that needs some treatment.

You can also try to clean the contact at the back door, too.

I haven't seen the contact on the back door of the Ducato
But I have seen the one on the side door and door frame - at the rear and about halfway up
Certainly worth cleaning that and checking the contacts in the door still slide on their springs.
I doubt if you need to buy any new parts.
