Styling DRL bulbs

Can anyone recommend bulbs for the daylight running lights that are a bit whiter? Mine are so yellow and dull and look really odd compared to how white the headlights are. I don’t want to put LED bulbs in because they are not legal but I would like a standard bulb that has a whiter cast. Recommendations please.

It sounds like you actually have yellow DRL bulbs in there now. So you could go to Halfords and buy white.

This isn't EU law. The EU is very permissive on this. We did it all by ourselves.

I never advocate breaking the law (even though the law is an ass) but you could try a couple of LED bulbs just to see what they look like.
But a pity you forgot to put the old bulbs back before you went out.

They are less white than the later LED's but I like the difference. You cant up the wattage or you will upset the can bus system. MAybe there are some brighter types but you may get error messages if you vary from standard. They are always less yellowy in daylight than when the headlights are on.
