Hey guys my friend has a Grande Punto 08.

When he tries to make his drivers side window wont go up. When pressing the switches you can here it's trying to do it but window does not follow.

Does anyone know what it it could be and also any quick fixes to make it driveable?

Thanks guys.

If you can hear the motor turn, then it is possible that the plastic lug has come out of the hole in the glass,in which case you would be able to lift the glass up with two hands. Either way it needs stripping to find the fault.

Several things can make windows work poorly, if you can hear the motor trying then stop trying or you may knacker the motor which will make it a costly job.

Start by giving all the runners around the window a damned good clean, then you’ll most likely need to take the door apart to make sure as already pointed out, the glass is still attached, and then you can check the runners inside the door to make sure they are not tight or dirty, you may have to assist the window up if it’s struggling and then clean everything inside the door.

If you do all of this and still it’s struggling, it might be the motor is on its last legs and will need replacing anyway

Wouldn't hear anything with blown fuses …
