hi has anyone any ideas what could be causing my problem please.... I have an 07 citroen relay, same as a Ducato I believe, and the heater is intermittently playing up, it's fine then park it up overnight and come out in the morning and it won't work at all for several days, then park it up overnight and come out next day and it will only blow cool for a few days then same happens but it blows hot!! any help greatly appreciated thanks

don't understand the system you've got, :confused:

if it's "Climate" then is sounds like it needs a reset,

if it's a traditional heater.., ;
is it the fan that doesn't work?,
or an inconsitent temp..??,

The fan switch does burn out ive fitted a punto switch to mine as its available individually check the pollen filter it may be blocked restricting airflow and causing the fan to run hot causing it to fail also the connectors are known to come off the fan resistor switch is also a common problem best of luck Adam

cheers Adam . I was planning to take a look this weekend but yesterday it smelled of electrical burn and stopped altogether so whatever it was has self destructed :/

This is left hand drive but whichever it is behind the passenger glovebox

Squeeze the tabs on opposite corners and then slide in the opposite direction of the retaining screw, it will then drop out

fantastic thanks . I had a look at lunchtime yesterday but ididnt have 5.5 mm socket . cheers

did this cure it ? I have exactly same prob on my duc,first no low speeds on the fan,then ok then weeks later of a few kicks back to none of first 3 speeds ,(top speed always worked (ear protecters were always used) now no speeds and thermal underware.

The resistors are for speeds 1to 3 if they fail you just have full speed. If it now not works on 4 then the thermal fuse has gone or the circuit fuse
Changing the resistor pack should solve the problem
£12.50 ebay new lately

sounds like the fan resistor has let you down then its in the lhs footwell close to the centre glovebox cheers adam
I had this problem last year (on 2007 2.2L Ducato), cured by replacing the resistors. Now the heater fan has stopped altogether. Fuses are OK and I have power at the connector to the fan - I checked this with a bulb which lights on all 4 speeds and only speed 4 when I remove the resistors. Does this mean I need a new fan motor and if so do I have to remove all the dash to get at it?

Any advice appreciated.
