Doblo starts but won’t Rev up and dies

Please help : it seems one thing after another with the doblo starts up no problem (recent new battery) but dies within 10 seconds put foot down on accelerator and nothing

Doblos have been around a while..

What year..and engine is yours?

Was the new battery trying fix a fault.. or just Dead after months of inactivity?

The doblo is a 2009 family 1.3 model recent engine change which had done 36000 miles . The new battery was to replace one that wasn’t strong enough to start it even thou it had been on for 2 months I’ve had it since September last year buts it’s been in garage most of the time for one thing and another also garage is quite slow at fixing ?*

That sounds a bit of a sorry story

These engines dont take much starting..
So I am wondering if you have a fundamental problem.. simple rather than expensive

Has it had an MOT since the new engine?

It’s had a lot of work done on it since I’ve had it in a short period of time , engine egr valve injectors glow plugs which were seized etc plus £500 on mot work I’m slowly giving up
On it , I had the mot done last October and new engine put in in February this year so I haven’t had mot done since new engine it’s seems to like the garage more than me lol . The problem started with it not starting first time with the low Revs and cutting out but would start up the second time first time it done it I took it straight to garage and they done diagnostic on it nothing came up then it was ok for 2 weeks using daily until a week and half ago where it wouldn’t start low revs and putting foot on accelerator didn’t do anything guy from garage called to house ran diagnostics again and still nothing he said possibly fuel pump ????

Sounds like this garage are not using the correct kit and expertise..

Thats a lot of time and effort.. and you are no further forward..

Where are you based..

There shoukd be several errors that can be read to point towards the actual problem..

I’m based in swansea , no it’s not moving forward at all just pockets getting emptied continuously. I
Don’t know which diagnostic tester they are using all they keep saying it mechanical and each time I get it back I’m a few hundred shorter and still not a working car

What is your history with the car?

Bought it .. then problems after a few weeks..

Or been a problem since day one.

I read a New engine. New injectors. New battery

Could you explain a bit more please?

I've got a 2015 Doblo Van, same problem, starts but won't rev up? Shows Glow plug Fault? Reset, still nothing? But when it does run, it's pumping oil into to air box? Any ideas please?

What mileage? If it’s pumping oil into airbox sounds like a blocked breather or something. Also might help if you start a new thread as this dates back to 2021
