Hi all, I need some help, my daughters Fiat 500 is having power failure issues, recently serviced and the service engineer recommended a timing belt change (and pump change at the same time) which I had done a few weeks ago, since the timing belt/pump change she has started to experience problems, it is a very serious problem, I've have asked her to explain what is happening, please see below, I need help as it is getting very dangerous now.
Driving along, seems to be when I go 60mph, all fine then suddenly the car jolts slightly and then I know it’s doing it again, and the engine light comes on and then I can’t accelerate so car just obviously slows on its own because there’s no acceleration, so I had to wait until I passed all the cones in the hard shoulder and pull in. Turn engine off. Then it starts up fine again straight away!
Doesn’t stall
Please does anyone know what could be causing this, I've taken it back to the garage that did the belt/pump change and they find nothing?
Thanks Dan
