Technical Cylinder head problems!

Hi all. I have an 02 Sei 1.1 mpi. I need to replace the cylinder head. The part number is 46770033. Having a look on Ebay I found a used one with the exact part number and ordered it up.

On arrival, the head DID NOT have the same part number, it was 55192459 and had Punto 1.2 8v written on it with marker. The seller isn't being very swift with my complaints either!

Looking at the head, the water ports on the face look very similar to the ones on the old head but Im really not sure if it's worth bolting it on and crossing my fingers!

Can anyone shine a light with the compatibility of these heads?

As long as the manifold have the same bolt pattern then it'll be fine, just make sure the head gasket is the right way round and doesn't block the oil port.

What was wrong with the old head?

Hi, thanks. for the reply - The old head suffered bad corrosion near the fire ring area!

I appreciate the fact that if it's the same size it will fit, but what about the cam? - Should I just re-use my old cam and check the clearances?
