An X5 is AWD for a start, they also have AWD versions of the 3 and 5 series (I believe) badged up as a 330ix (x denoting AWD, 30 denoting the 3 litre engine).

BMW do not offer a FWD car but not all of them are RWD, they offer a lot of AWD cars.

The 1 series is the only small hatchback that is RWD on all models as well

Look about right? That's not including £600~ for parts he said and VAT. I've got a friend who's going to do the whole lot for just under £1500 + VAT though.
