General connection rods for wiper arms

Any one know where i can get the rod that connects the wiper arm ti the motor as when i brought my panda it had the wipers snapped off front and rear and cant seem to get one from any scrap yard around Leicester!

they all say that they dont break Pandas any more!

Any ideas?

You do not give the year or model of your Panda so I will have to assume from your forum name that it is a 1000Fire from circa 90/92.

Presume you are referring to the external wiper arms front and rear, in which case ( subject to confirmation at the dealers with your VIN number ) the front will be either 4411451 or 4440323 and the rear will be 7772402.

Suggest you keep the above numbers to yourself in the first instance. Go to the dealer with your VIN number and then let them confirm the part number and current price. This way, you can tell if they know what they are doing ( many of them cannot use the Eper properly ) and if the numbers they come up with are as those above you will be certain of obtaining the correct parts.

Its not the wiper arm, its the connecting rod that joins the arm to the motor. Ive tried the local Nuneaton Fiat but they dont stock them or order them now apparantly!

Yes the Panda is a 1000 parade fire, L reg. Cant find the rod anywhere!

Kez, I think I may have one in our cupboard of Panda bits. If you don't find one before I can have a look at the weekend and will let you know. You'd be welcome to it. Cheers, David

So what you are after is the pressed steel linkage assembly from the wiper motor to the drive spindle. Even if dealer could obtain it for you, you would balk at the asking price.

Hopefully, someone on the forum will be able to help you out with this.

i just bought a brand new front wiper arm from my local fiat dealer £22 all in.
