I have a 2018 2.3 multijet comfortmatic Ducato and the multi function display shows a warning "check transmission, refer to manual". That caused a bit of panic with an hour of our journey still to go, but no apparent impact on operation. My wife pointed out that the odometer had just passed 30,000 miles, which I took as a clue. Referring to the manual identifies that gearbox oil level should be checked (not changed) at 48,000Km (30,000 miles). That seems like a rational explanation on the face of it, but why the big scary warning light? Any thoughts on whether I have anything to worry about, or just need to check the gearbox oil level?
