Hi folks, I'm in the process of changing the clutch on my 1994 Cinquecento, but the release bearing supplied is different to the one on the car. All the online images seem to be the same as the one I've been sent as part of the new kit. I wondered if early Cinqs have a different design? As you can see from the photo, the old one is a significantly larger assembly. Oddly there were no clips holding it in place, it was just retained on the release fork by old grease and could be lifted straight out.

Bearing changes with years and clutch brand, so could be ok. For better info you should check parts with VIN or at least with engine and year model.

I've managed to cross reference the old release bearing, with seems to be shared with the Panda and Uno, according to Autodoc. I do wonder whether the release fork in my car is the same as other Cinquecentos. Can anyone confirm this from the attached photo? The new bearing certainly doesn't fit it. I could re-use the old bearing, which seems fine, but I don't understand why there are no retaining clips or springs fitted to it. It was just held to the fork by old grease. Surely that can't be correct!

These bearing are fitted straight, not secure or clip. Most times bearing is shared with different cars.
What's your engine 0,7, 0,9 or 1,1L.

@Steve70 Today I changed my clutch and bearing with a Valeo rebuild kit. My old and new bearing are the same as yours (the old one). I have a Cinquecento 0.9 (899), and it is a 1994 year.

That's interesting to know, Ivan. Was your bearing secured to the fork with any clips or just held in place by grease like mine?

@Steve70 It didn't have additional clips, but was inserted in two steps to the lever and it clicked at the final position, then remained there even when moving.
