Technical Cinq Sporting Performance Chip

Dunno, but Ill be running a heavily modified to fit K+N in the next few weeks.

The GSR is brilliantly designed...lots of thought went into that to make it get the best power out of the engine.

The K+N stits on top of the throttle body and sucks warm air in Id recommend the GSR from what Ive heard anout it alone, the only reason Im not running one is because my current system (well the modded K+N) was already under development!!

I have thought of getting a GSR, but i have a semi-unique design for my induction kit so i am loathed to change it.
I will get some pics one day.

my mates jus bought a KandN for his peageout 106 an its made a huge difference

Yeah...filter placement and availability of cold air is vitally important...

The Cinq Sporting K+N sits on top of the Throttle Body...so is in the middle of a huge hot air patch. The GSR doesnt, and as cold air is good, its better
It might be twice as much, but I bet its twice the difference.

Recieved my chip this morning and just fitted it. Very comprehensive instructions, no problems at all. I let the car fast idle for a few mins as recomended and then took it for a bit of a warm up drive. Just round town to let the ECU learn the engine, then onto a nice straight and gave it a bit of welly.

Car feels much easier and smoother to drive, theres definely more torque their! Not had chance to have a good play yet as the weather is awful

hello all..

just to confirm about the chip.

it has done wonders to my car, and my engine has been modified. so in 1242 there should be no problems..

oh.. remember the flat spots.. on 3k? well, thats the thing of the psat now..

If it gets rid of that bloody annoying whiffle at 3k then it's worth the money alone, the boost in any other performance has to be a bonus !

I'm seriously tempted to bung one in and then use my past trials of torque tubes from my old mini days to sort out an induction mod if you're interested, it's been a while since I've had petrol spat all over me......I can feel some oily fingers coming on again !

Junk the whole injection and whip the Mikumis off my Kwaka

for the time that i had mine in and the car was acutally running, there was a nice increase in power.. nothing amazing but u could defiantly tell and it did make the car more fun and defiantly a little faster.

i only had it working for about 5 days tho so i cant really say what its like on the long term. cars dead now, and noone can work out what the problem is
