Allright. I've ordered a JBL subwoofer and amplifier so I'm going to start installing it in about two weeks. I know that i have to "steal" the sound for the "AUX in" on the amp from one of the rear speakers. I've also bought a transformer that changes the sound signals from high to low.

I just want to know on before hand how I can take off the rear quarterpanels inside the car? I know it's a quick fix on the doors but now I have to take off the panels in the back seat. Hope you can help me :)

Yopu need to take a feed from both rear speakers. Even though a subwoofer is a mono speaker, the amp needs both left and right signals.

The transformer you have sounds like a low pass filter to only allow low frequencies through to the amp. A lot of amps have a switch for this built in so you may not need it.

I cant really help with the panels in the back seat but i can help with everything else.

Which amp do you have?

The amp is a JBL GTO-3501.
Looks like a LOT of work for so little! So I can't get the left and right feed from one speaker? I was thinking that I can connect a set of left and right speaker wires (+ and -) to the speaker wires on one side and connect them to the filter which will act as a terminal from speaker wires to AUX wires.
Look at this to see what I mean: http://www.bilradiospes.no/m/shop/?produkt=445&katid=78&mid=m436&id=&vn=736
That filter "changes speaker output to phono output" which should be what I need.

Am I right or do I really have to steal sound from both rear speakers?
I'm going to need a whole day to do this f****g job that's supposed to take a few hours.. Oh well, good thing I've got a week of vacation when the job's due :) It tempts me a little to change the OEM headunit but I really like the buttons on the steering wheel..

Yes you need to use both speakers to obtain both left and right signals. If you just use one you will half the power of the signal going into the amp, so you half the volume the amp produces.

Plus if you only use the right rear speaker for example, the music may have different sounds going to the left speaker that the amp wont receive. Though this is rare for lower frequencies you need both left and right signals from the head unit to obtain a combined mono signal from the music.

A usefull tip for the sub box you have... If you listen to music with slower, deeper bass leave the hole in the box open. If you listen to music with faster punchier bass, stuff a rag or sock in the hole. I tried this and it really sharpens up the sub.
