Hi All,
It's been a while since I had my 2001 Brava. I miss it terribly, but I've had multiple Fiat's since. Marea, Panda (169) and now a 2017 Panda Lounge (lovely!). All have been solid dependable cars. I now have a friend with a 2018 500 1.2 Lounge. It's recently been unreliable as hell. Not charging sometimes and other times fine, refusing to start at others while it cranks fine. As a result the battery and all the engine earthing straps have been replaced. Now he has a new problem that has completely disabled the car. On connection of the battery earth (-ve), ALL the dashboard lights, the audio system and the daytime running lights all come on at once and stay on, even without the key in the car nevermind in the ignition and turned on. Is there anyone out there with any experience of this happening? Could it be feedback through a faulty Alternator or Starter Solenoid? Drop me a line please.
