Styling Biposto Gearknob

Hi, Does anyone know the correct thread pitch for a biposto gearknob? As I’ve recently purchased one but I cannot find an M12 thread that fits it (it is going in my Seicento Schumacher so I will be cutting threads into the gear stick shaft)

M12: if it's fine pitch it's 1.25, if it's course pitch it's 1.75 - there are only two.

At a guess I'd say the latter

I’ve tried 1.25 (that doesn’t fit) so I’ll give 1.75 a try.
