Got in my Panda the other day to find a mouse had been inside the car. Fortunatly it doesnt seem to have chewed anything important, prefering my kids car seat and a small pillow, the contents of which were all over the floor. When investigating I found that it had almost certainly got in through a vent in the boot - lift up the floor (to get access to the spare wheel) and look behind the boot sill. You can see the back of the bumper (and a fair amount of daylight) through the grill. Thankfully the car was parked outside a B&B at the time and the mouse must not have been in the car when I left, as there has been no sign of it since. I intend to make this grill mouse proof asap...
Interestingly, I also noticed that water had been flowing into the wheel well through this vent. I would advise checking under the spare wheel at intervals for damp! (And mouse poo).
