Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

I told you £360 is my final offer!

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

sorry mate, but I've been watching the market daily for 4 months now.
If it was mechanically perfect, you'd be looking at 600 - 800.

With the problem its got, I don't know who'd gamble on buying it for anything like that.

I'd get it sorted first and then stick it on Autotrader for £800. You might get a bite. They go for good money on eBay (maybe EVEN up to £900 for yours), but for some reason every HGT, in the last 4 months, almost without exception, get re-listed. I think at the sort of money they're worth these days, they're attracting ******* bidders who don't turn up, or who try to negotiate when they get there, or who expect them to be mint when they're actually over 10 years old.

If you get offered £600 once it's sorted, I'd bite their hand off.

Honestly.

You won't prove me wrong; I'm so in touch now.

Just a word to the wise. No harm meant.
(PS it's not for me while it's got the mechanical problem, but if it was running perfectly I'd give £600 cash for an easy deal) which would have been a good deal for you.

Good luck mate

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

Oh and small point, which is it is modded. Exhaust, head-unit, speakers, unoriginal interior, resprayed (bumpers and sides rubbing strips at least). Not an original car, but I know what you meant. Just think people should be careful not to mislead, as the exhaust, for a start, is something that has to be declared to insurance co. And the respray raises questions of whether it was done when it was in the bodyshop for something more serious. Interior might be from an older car, might not have been fitted correctly (bolts torqued to manufacturer settings)? ...Head-unit fair enough, that's par for the course, but door cards never go back the same once they've been off.

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

make it £460!

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

grooved discs too.

It all adds up to make it far from standard.

Won't necessarily do any harm to what you get for it, as most HGT bidders seem to be ignorant numpties these days. It's the cheap money that's attracting them in. They're all destined for the 'bad end of town'; halfords mods; and the great car park in the sky when the 5-pots **** up.

An original one is truly rare. And in perfect mechanical condition, a stonking hell of a find.

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

Mines in good mechanical order, just the bloody spaghetti electrics that let it down.

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

henizman, im not sure if you are trying to wind him up? while the car is not standard, its not far from it! and i would class the leather as 'standard' as it was an option...

OP good luck with the sale! but heniz is right i would get it sorted before you try and sell it....

Rat is back on the road :)... New bits coming soon!

Hgt

Thanks for the 'Advice' I'm a genuine enthusiast and not trying to mislead anybody! And if it was fixed your offer £600 would be too low I'm afraid.

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

Good luck with the sale chap, I do agree with heinzeboy, but not with the way he had to tell you. Shame its not in June, as thats when I finsh uni and will be looking for a HGT.

Chris

Fiat Bravo 1.2 80sx - 100,000 miles - and a new exhaust! :)

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

If it was fixed it would be worth the money you want.

Chris

PS - Garage looks tidy! :)

Re: Mk2 Bravo HGT for sale, full leather, Heraldic blue

geeesh don't some people make things sound bad.

ok.. so you've removed the old HGT interior and replaced it with.... oh yeah a HGT interior.

and as for the exhaust.... if your worried about the increase in insurance then maybe you shouldn't be looking at a HGT... cos the insurance is the least of your worries!!! (the 30mpg might be...)

There was some good advice... the airbag reset is £15 from Fiat, seems a little tight not to get it sorted.

And while it's at Fiat get them to find the idle problem.

On a good day £800-900 should be realistically achivable when fixed... hey if 2 people love it, it may tip over £1k!!!

Best of luck, looks a lovely example on an unmolested HGT :)

Thanks Tommy and guys for your support,appreciated!...I think i will get of sorted..wasn't going to get it sorted purely due to finances..loosin my job in 2 weeks, so every bit of cash is important!..

Exhaust is just back box on original system, and car has had paint and bumpstrips done at some time in it's life, but very well done,I repainted the wheels myself and interior fitted from identical mk2 1999 Hgt even in the same colour, I stripped the interior myself and have replaced clips like for like, and any bits of broken trims with the correct dark grey mk2 bits from the donor car.

By the way,the tidy garage contains my other love...a genuine factory 1956 VW beetle cabriolet which i'm slowly restoring!

Cheers!
