Hi all (again) - sorry to floody the board with my questions but...
if a 500 has decals / side stripes, is it possible to remove them without any damage to the paint work.
Also, once a car is put together (ie, if I were to buy a car already made), can I then add the chrome strips etc to it?
Thanks ;)

Yup you can remove them !! But they might leave a little residue but that can be cleaned easily. I changed my stickers, so it was not a problem.

And regarding the chrome strips, which one do you mean ? The one on the bonnet ?

Regards

Omar

Yep they're easy to remove, use a hairdryer or heatgun, but be careful not to apply too much heat next to the bodywork. If theres any adhesive left, just use T-Cut to remove it and thats it (y)

Chrome Kit can be added, only thing that I think can't be added is the chrome parts under the windows...

Choose a nice hot day & leave it in the sun, that helps. If you happen to know someone with a body shop stick it in the oven.

Ive also used a steamer, a screwfix cheapie, quite good as it also softens the glue. Took longer to get the actual sticker off but the time saved removing adhesive probably made it quicker overall

And you can do he chrome mirrors yourself quite easily... you can the stick on chrome bits too, but you need to be skilled in getting them perfectly aligned first time (which is why I wouldn't do them myself) so I'd pay someone to do them if it was me. I've added the wing mirrors to my lounge but it has quite enough chrome on it now without the bonnet bit and A bar!

i also need to know this. i am about to decide on whether to put a checkered roof sticker on. confused because guys at fiat keep saying to have an independant person to do them and not fiat.
