Hi all...

Exactly as title suggests, need to remove a piece of wood stuck to the wall with this glue....and have no idea how to go about this (without destroying the piece of wood!). Obviously as its name suggests, no more nails does work considerably well...in this case unfortunately... any ideas to help with removal?? :(

Yes I realise this seems like a stupid thing to ask about but it wasn't meant to be a temporary thing... :p

it does what it says on the tin, but prolonged exposure to damp can beat it. sikaflex is the daddy.

most type of super sticky glues are water based therefore hot water should break them down although whether it wud ruin the wood is the problem

Hello - did any of the tips you were given work ? I have a similar problem - I need to remove a wall plaque no-nailed to a garden wall. Need to get it off without breaking it as it was made by our son in pottery class at school.

the cheese wire method would work eventually, would be tedious though, if the item you were removing was flexible then you can cut it with a stanley knife bit by bit, ideally an oscilating cutter would work best but they cost a fair bit just to remove something from a wall :)

I find a bit of white spirit or methylated spirit disrupts most glue enough to give you a chance, never tried it with 'no more nails'. Just put a few drops on the join and see what happens.

Hey yeah well sorta... i used er a knife (not to cut it but to give an even edge to lever the side so i didnt dent the wood) and a screwdriver behind to lever it up lol bit random but i couldnt get hold of things like steel wire etc n needed it off like rly quickly in end. But it worked, it just pulled off the paint too, didnt damage the wood or the breeze block which was really lucky.

but btw guys thnx for all the tips!! :D

(y) sorry for takin so long to respond

the only way you are going to get it of is to rip it of the wall get a chisels behind it and pull it well bring some of the wall with it but its the only way

and no more nails it good for only one thing riping you of if you go any diy shop they well have the same thing alot cheaper right next to the no more nails its just a brand name gripfill is much cheaper and works better
