General Another Mk1 Rescued!

And he's passed the MOT today! :woot:

My exhaust bodge from Thoresby last year gave way after Winter storage but 1000 miles wasn't bad! Fortunately I happened to have a back box in the stores, so beer tokens meant that it was miraculously fitted mid-Mot ;)

Can someone please come up with a sensible name for him? Blue Panda doesn't help much, and now I can't even say the mk1 :bang: The name must suit him, be male (definitely a him), and not be too embarrassing to say out loud. Prize for the winner at Panda Camp :)

Smurf names? :D

I did look up the blue man group but they have rather un-interesting real names unfortunately.

I'll keep thinking I guess

How about Berlusconi?! He's Italian, very much a male and with all the female pandas you have around I'm sure he could have plenty of Bunga Bunga parties (y) :D

just a few..

Tourmaline
Topaz
Livius

trying to find names involving the colour blue..

but i kinda like the name Jasper.. dont know why but it somehow to me seems like it fits.
Aw come on, if you're working through semi precious stones how about your local - Blue John!
Also has the bonus of being hilariously confusing at any Panda gathering: 'have you seen John?'(y)

Thanks John. :worship:

I don't know why either but I really like Jasper!!

So Jasper it is (y)

Well Jasper has just passed his mot - no advisories & no looming problems! :woot:

After lurking in a lockup since last July  he fired up easily albeit with a little help from some jump leads (tired battery ;) ) so strictly it was second attempt rather than first return of the key.

I'd forgotten how light the steering always feels on the mk1 - he's a great little car (y)

He's going to be pressed into service for a few days while Mum's mk4 Panda is being serviced - rather than paying to insure the dealer's courtesy car, she's going retro Panda (at least the rear brake discs can't squeak on a mk1 Panda - everything else can, but not rear discs!!! ).

Must use Jasper more this Summer, must use Jasper more this Summer, must use Jasper........... :)
