General Air Induction kit

General Air Induction kit

let me get this straigt, NOS, is a substutiude, or rather an attitive to petrol but burns quicker, blah blah blah to get more power....

so could you not rig up a little system to inject pure o2 into your induction kit at the same time as the nos, to have ultimate fuel and ultimate air to burn it with ???????

hehe

Sort of. The NOS contains nitrogen and oxygen, obviously more O2 than nitrogen. The oxygen increases the amount of petrol which can be burnt, so you've got to supply more petrol. If you don't your engine will melt. :(

Compressed, NOS is liquid, while I think Oxy is just gas, so you get more per bottle with NOS.

Nitrous oxide is 36% oxygen with the rest being nitrogen, air it's about 21% oxygen. So if you fill your cylinder with NOX you'll have over 75% more air to burn. That means a bigger bang and more power. actually injecting pure O2 into a cylinder would probablly cause a huge bang which ends up with the engine in a lot of very small bits, which isn't really a good thing.

Quite correct, also NOX has the added advantage in that it won't do daft things near sparks if it escapes.

Yet another advantage of NOX is that as the liquid vaporises it cools the air it's flowing in meaning you can fit more air in the cylinder. This alone can add a few % to the power output before you've even got to the extra oxygen.

can't quite see, but doesn't the pipe stuck into the right side of the filter on that kit pass unfiltered air straight through?

where did you get this kit mate...

Sorry bout the quality of the images - but hopefully you should be able to make out where it all goes.

on the elbow end you need a bolt to block off the unused hole - just remember to put the nut on the outside, and check for tightness every few thousand miles :slayer:
