Hi guys, I am a Palio EDX 1.3 owner here in Caracas/Venezuela :)
I am really happy with this car, but 2 month ago I crashed frontal into another car. It wasn't really so hard but now everything is fixed except the car won't start (I read there is a security code for this) that in emergency the car won't start. What does my technician has to do so the car starts ? Do I have to reset the computer ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Some cars have an Inertia switch which in the event of a crash the Inertia switch activates removing the power to the fuel pump allowing the fuel line to loose pressure to prevent any broken fuel pipes to prevent a fire from petrol spraying into the engine bay....

easy way to test is to see if the fuel pump has power..

on my Punto its apparently in the door pillar cant help with a palio though as i dont know....

Thanks so much. I have the Technical Manual but couldn't find the right word for this swich (Manual is in spanish) but you pointed me right to the swich ;))) Hopefully later today I can start the car again ;) THANKS

At last my car started :) now I have another problem (but the problem was from before), the car has not a lot of starting strenght. If I want to start the car going up a hill it is nearly impossible. Any Idea ???
Thanks so much guys
