Technical '89 126P fuel sender

Is it possible to remove the fuel sender from the fuel tank without removing the fuel tank in a 1989 126P? I have filled the tank and it still shows almost empty.

I'm not sure, but since there is a rather crude hole cut out in the floorpan of my 126 I'd have to guess you will have to remove the fuel tank...
