Hey, just registered[emoji106]? 2 weeks ago I bought a 500 twinair 85 from 2012. It was spotless when I got it. Then 2 days ago it started to snow( denmark) and a bit fell into the seat and left a stain??? Wtf! It's water? Has anyone had the same?

You could try washing it off, o wait there a minute............

(I am sure someone with a sensible answer will be along shortly)

I have had my 500 since 2013 and the seats could do with a good clean. They were treated, but I like to drive my car not show it ! I normally just brush them with a clothes brush.

I discovered Fiat seats were prone to waterstaining some years ago when my son had a Punto. Hence, when I got my Twinair Lounge in 2011 I sprayed all of the (bright red) fabric with Scotchguard. 5 years later, no stains. I suggest a good clean with foam upholstery cleaner then a spray with protector such as Scotchguard. Best done when it's warm though, so it can dry with the windows open, not when it's snowing!

The dog tooth seats in the lounge must stain very easily. I've had 11 lounge models, every single one has had disgusting seats. I have a domestic Vax machine and it takes a couple of goes but eventually they come up like new. I have some before and after pics, I will find them and post them.

Good suggestion from Typecastboy, but treat them with protective after cleaning to reduce the chances of re-staining.

As typecastboy says, you need a wet vacuum to have any chance of getting the grime out of the seats; the spray on foam jobbies just redistribute the grime more evenly; the seat may look clean, whilst in reality it's just more uniformly dirty.

If there is a uniform layer of grime left behind, then any subsequent water spotting, even by the purest possible water, will leave a stain as the water redistributes the grime that's already in the seat covering.

The original 500 lounge seats are notorious for being about the worst thing possible when it comes to showing stains; after about 2010 Fiat made the pop seats available as a no-cost option in the lounge; they're a far better choice as the fabric is more durable, too.

Yes, my Lounge has the red Pop seats. Although I've had good results from foam cleaners, your "dirt spreading" explanation is probably correct as the staining recurred on my son's Punto. Treating with Scotchguard seems to stop this recurrance.
The Vax method has a better chance of actually removing the dirt, although when we tried it on a carpet some years ago the staining did return.

Before and after using my Vax domestic machine a couple of times. Makes all the difference.

A Vax is an excellent tool for cleaning car seats. I used to work in a place that refilled toner cartridges and the damn stuff got into everything, including clothes and, inevitably, car seats (not to mention lungs!).

After a couple of goes with the Vax the seats were like new and there was a quarter inch of sludge in the water - highly recommended.

My twinair has red interior and I've noticed that there a few water type stains on drivers seat but tbh I'm not to fussed as it's not really noticeable.
