I've got some piccies of this knocking about, I'll dig 'em out when I get home - it's the same one that was at Santa Pod in Sept for the PPC£999 isn't it?

Looked good, especially the standard cinq interior

WRT handling of shortwheel base vs track width on rwd cars I'm not sure its less relevant than the actual details of the suspension setup - toe, camber etc. Get any of that not quite right and even a long wheelbase car can bite you hard - try driving something like a BMW or Merc hard when the suspension geometry is out and you quickly discover that. Of course all else equal and a short wheelbase and mid engined will be more twitchy.

Woah, the foot-wide front slicks combined with the stock back wheels almost made me fall out of my chair, it just looks bonkers.

Kudos to Mike, this is an awesome project, as if i didnt have enough of an inferiority complex about my own skills as it is

We have do a little more testing with the car and yes mike is happy with a the new front suspension setup.
At the moment the cars getting a full roll cage fitted saftey first
Then it will be ready for battle

Just goes to show what can be fitted under the bonnet of a cinqy. If it wasn't turbo'd with an intercooler it looked like it wouldn't even look unusual without the wide wheels.

Iirc from chatting to the guy it has some fancy gearbox (hewland?) that couldn't cope with the power hence why it was on the back of a trailer at Santa Pod.

All good stuff though.

mikes had the car on the rolling road most of the day finishing off the mapping wow
The cars now got a brand new custom built 3 speed manual gearbox. I was there today for an hour or so.This thing sounds awesome
It will be ready for racing next year i carnt wait
