Well hi everbody i must register myself on the forum
Im mike the lad that built this monster. I built it as a bit of fun and to test this engine combo out.
I built it for drag racing only and to compete at ten of the best next year.
yes as people say engine in the back. thats loads more work and a lot harder to drive. Fiat cinq have a very small wheel base thats the problem the backends allways trying to overtake you.
At the end of the day its not everybody cup of tea but it proves just what you can do

makes our 1.4 16v conversions look a bit on the tame side :devil:

In march im starting on my next cinq project for a good friend of min. Rear engine rwd and im using a snow mobile engine 1000cc 4 stroke 234bhp standard. 14800rpm here we come
That is brilliantly mental.....!!!
when u do that conversion make sure u have a camera in ur tool kit and get some vids up of this cinq and it would be interesting to have it totally road legal wonder what the insurance cost would be

I no what you mean about been road legal it would be interesting put it that way.
Its better when you turn up to a drag strip tho

Good stuff. If you do the figures, the Cinq actually has a less radical track/wheelbase ratio than the Stratos -- pretty much the same as the Elise. :yum:
Hi im sorry i only have one or two pictures of the build thread.
The engine a 2.1 16v zetec turbo the engine spec massive
The engines at the moment is 438bhp and 505nm at 23psi
Iv still got mapping work to do with it,and the moment im making new front lower arm with rosejoint and also traction bar
Ill be racing the car next year ill keep you informed about where ill be with it
you are more then welcome to have a look.
Or in december is been featured in practical performance mag

Ive worked at z cars for years mate and trust me iv build rear bike engine cinq and yes there very good on the track but you dont get much warning similar to minis drivers skill needed
My cinq pulls not pushs and that what i like .

But I doubt if the handling limits are -- even given that short, wide tracked, rear engined cars are going to be feisty -- just down to the wheelbase.

Few people complain about the handling of the Elise, while several say the (real) Stratos can get away from you very quickly in a straight line. On the other hand, people rave about the Miata, and Francois Delacour said "'Appily it does not 'ave 150 horse power".

A lot of power but...the only solution for the grip now is 4 Wheel Drive from the old Fiat Panda

So any news or more importantly pictures yet?? Have you guys been to a track day yet? Dyno test? Have you for the sake of this crazy project got hold a camera yet lol Any videos, pretty please, I must be fed something :devil:
Needs more low.
We have do a little more testing with the car and yes mike is happy with a the new front suspension setup.
At the moment the cars getting a full roll cage fitted saftey first
Then it will be ready for battle
This car is sick! You must get more pictures and also a video of a run for us. We are hungry people on here and need feeding pictures and videos
