Mick, when are you due to go into hibernation again? 
Well considering my recent health shenanigans including blood tests, stool samples and x rays, I think some time under the hedgerow might be advisable!
Hey Notts, I hope you are OK now... Good health is sooooo important and you usually realise it when it all goes pear shaped!

Hi thanks, no it's all still pear shaped, nothing life threatening but annoying and involved the taking of blood and taking of x rays! All the gory details are on Facebook as Heidi will attest lol

I hired this 'boys' DVD last week to the annoyance of my enduring better half. At one point I had to get up for a cup of tea and 'hearing' what 'your man' had to do I ended up getting dizzy and had to lie on the ground. Even if I knew your facebook link - I wouldn't be looking at it.

New to this forum!
My wife has a 500 which will be 3 years old this April and we have loved it! Trouble is we are expecting our first baby at the start of next year and the 500 3dr is not going to be all that baby friendly so when its finance is up we will be looking for a change... We basically loath anything else that the other car companies have come up with and want to retain the fun of the 500...
ok boring bit over and onto the topic..
Well on holiday in Spain last week we spotted this being tested:
Our first impression was wait! that looks like a 500ish but with 5 doors!
a little like the old estate:
I could be totally wrong but closer inspection of the car as I managed to get right up to it as it was caught in heavy town traffic it had Lancia/Alfa/Fiat group stickers all over it.
So I wonder what it is! 5 doors for sure.
if it is a fiat and of 500 origins we would be a happy Mr and Mrs!

That's the Panda. The 500 estate is coming, but it's based on a Punto and not called a 500 at all

I think it is quite a good design to be honest, although I like you would be much more willing to see the intro of a 5-door 500 for child-friendly reasons too!
The good thing about the Panda is that it does share a lot of parts with the 500, and so that will hopefully translate into a similar driving experience.
My gut instinct though is that there won't be a 5-door 500 simply because of the intro of two similar new 5-door models within the Fiat Group - the new Panda of course plus the new Lancia Ypsilon.

There will be a 500 lookalike 5 door, it's been confirmed. But like I said it WON'T be Panda/500 based.

Whoever spoilt this car needs shooting the Fiat 500 was never a 4 door and never should be!
Huh? The photos are of a PANDA and secondly the original 500 never had Blue&Me, an engine in the front, FWD and loads of other things

Fair point, but if they had the technology back then the old school 500's would of had the mod cons. and i was more meaning about the number of doors, those pictures above that was took in spain that car looks hideous and not because of the stealthed out look with the circular back window but because of the overall outline of it they've ruined the styling and thats one of the major selling points of the 500 its looks.
