My wife drives the car, it's her's actually, her milage is about 12-15miles a day for four days, she only works four days a week, and probably only about another 10 miles for the rest of the week so about 80 miles a week at most.

Very occasionally we'll do a long run but no more than about 300 miles maybe twice a year.

If it helps (or not!) my 4x4 TA is now on 94k miles, driven by my wife on a similar commute returns 37mpg. It is what it is, I can eek out more but with some effort. I console myself with the thought that I know its a small cc engine but it effectively delivers about 100bhp/litre which is not shoddy and the laws of physics apply - there's only so many Joules, or Calories if you prefer, in each gulp of fuel...
