Hi
I have a 2012 Ducato chassis 2.3ltr, 130bhp, manual, LHD, diesel motorhome. The cab blower/demister has slowly, only worked on settings 1&2, stopped working. Obviously first thing to check is fuse but I have no idea where it is located, can anyone help? If that is ok I’ll look at replacing the resistor, can a relative mechanical novice manage this? Any help/advice greatly appreciated. TIA

The positive at the fan motor should always be present when the ignition is on. It reaches the motor via a relay and fuse in the engine bay fuse box. The negative to the motor goes via the speed switch and resistor pack. Note though that on high speed position that the resistor pack is bypassed and it is a straight through connection. I suggest that as a first step someone competent with a dc meter should establish if there is power to the fan motor positive and then whether the negative is getting to the motor via the speed switch.
