I have a Hymer Motorhome based on a 2001 Fiat Ducato 2.8idtd Q18 chassis, with air conditioning , I need a new radiator and I’m struggling to find the original part number , I’ve tried the eper but that doesn’t recognise my chassis number.
The original radiator is a Valeo part and the only numbers on it are PA6.6-GF30 but I need a Fiat number to check eBay supplier has the correct part.
Any help gratefully received
Cheers

Hello,

PA6.6-GF30

is the composition of the plastic material on which you've found it: polyamid 66 with 30% of carbon fiber.

As for the radiator, according to what can be find in ePER with the information provided:

I assume it would be one of the 2 engines highlighted in yellow:

For the M8 engine:

For the D4517 engine:

E025 being the A/C.

Both remarks (C6528 / D6528) are 'Adaptation to Standard 2000/53/CE'.

You've got the links to the 3 products pages on ePER:

The weight differs from 7,2 to 9,2 kg. The question is what else is different.

I'd start by confirming which engine does your Ducato have.

According to wikipedia, those were the 2,8 liter diesel engines available on the x244:

And the facelifting was launched in 2002 I suppose, so perhaps the 'new' 4517 engine is marked with the N at the end of the engine symbol.

We need a x244 diesel specialist to confirm :D

Cheers
Mine an x230
I tried to log onto eper but it didn’t like my chassis number.
I’ll try again tomorrow

FIAT was always messing with the models. So yes, my mistake, I've edited the previous post :)

If ePER can't recognize the VIN of your van today, it won't improve tomorrow :(

I've found a very interesting thread / post with the engines:

Which made clear to me that you have the 8140.43 engine which should be marked as M8 in ePER. It limits the number of possible radiators to two :)

It’s not that it will be different tomorrow, just going to give it another go👍
That’s the engine

Confirm what exactly? Perhaps the designation of the 2.8jtd Power version with variable vane turbo as 8140.43N? These are comparitively rare, at least in the UK.

I suspect that due to the slightly higher output, the 8140.43N would merit a slightly larger radiator, or at least a radiator having a greater heat dissapation at operating temperature.

If I can remember, perhaps tomorrow I will see if I can find any designation on the radiator of my 2.8jtd.

My engine is a 2.8 idtd motor 8140.43

Well I’ve searched eper again but this time I’ve put astrix in chassis number ( I thought astrix was not important 😊) and got this
I think the radiator circled in red is probably mine , if blue means “with Aircon)
Just a note this a idtd engineer and not a jtd.
Cheers

No, but it is a 2.8idtd, as previously stated several times, including in the first line of this thread.

However the 2.8jtd is a developement of the 2.8idtd, with similar power output. Also the x244 is basically the same vehicle as the x230, with minor body changes. It seems reasonable to expect the radiators to be at least similar.

Yes, E025 means A/C. When you move the mouse over the circled i it will show an explanation.

And yes, M8 is the code of your engine as I thought at first :) So that's the 1st part number I've listed :) Happy you were able to confirm it ;)

Now you finally can spend your money on your FIAT :D
