The pipe that goes to the air box on my Motorhome , 2.8idtd , is breaking up and I wonder if I can use this type of pipe.

Why not?
The only objection that I can dream up is that the Ebay offering has deep corrugations to make it flexible, while the original is smooth on the inside, with stiffening ribs on the exterior. The corrugated version could suffer from a more turbulent airflow. A turbulent air flow will cause a pressure drop along the pipe, and if the turbo cannot compensate then this would result in less charge into the cylinders.
Perhaps this a theoretical, rather than a practical consideration.

I think it would be ok as most wouldn’t be stretched so smoother than when stretched if that make sense
