General 1st National Panday 4x4 - Peak District

Just three weeks to go now, so I thought I had best put up some more info on what we will be getting up to over the weekend.

Saturday 12th September

12.00pm Everyone to be at the meeting point (exact location and directions will be given in PMs to everyone the week before) You are all welcome to arrive earlier than this of course, and as said before staying Friday night is no problem either.
1.00pm We will depart for a tarmac only route around some excellent roads and points of interest with a few stops on the way. At around 4.00 we will have a stop at a tea room for around an hour, before heading back to base.
Saturday Evening We should arrive back at the meeting point sometime between 5-6pm and will be having a BBQ most likely sometime around 7pm. I will hopefully have enough burgers for all, but of course everyone is welcome to bring there own bits of cow etc;)

Sunday 13th September

9.00am Everyone to be at the meeting point
9.30am Depart for the greenlane route. I need to advise everyone that the lanes we will be driving are fairly rough and rocky so a sump guard is an absolute must. Don't let that put you off though, I have driven all the lanes in a standard Panda with road tyres and am happy that with careful driving that no one will do any damage to their cars. We will of course be going at a steady pace and will be guiding everyone on the tricky bits.
1.00pm Luch stop at a pub.
4.00pm Arrive back at the meeting point.

I need know how many people are camping and if on Friday too, aswell as how many people there are in each group. So far I have this list:

pandamonius_maximus - ??
andyholli - ??
panda panda - Camping Saturday
Palio - Own Accomodation
aquamarine - ??
Dragon Man - ??
Freebo and Par - Camping Friday and Saturday
AndyPanda4x4 - Camping Friday and Saturday
Most Easterly Pandas - Camping Friday and Saturday
Keith & Sara - ??
Sam - Camping Friday and Saturday
Vin - Camping Friday and Saturday
VmanC and Panda Mo - Camping Saturday
crossman - Own Accomodation
lewisreeves - Camping Saturday
dombooth - ??

If everyone can fill in the missing bits, correct any I have wrong and also add how many people will be with you that would be great.

Any questions please let me know(y)

Thanks Freddy. I'll pass the info on to Richard & Keith. James is unable to get there due to his holiday now I believe. I'll update you ASAP. (y)

panda1408 - Sam is also coming on the Saturday but not staying overnight (Sam of the Panda Abarth, but may bring the Sky Panda instead!). Oh she'll bring some bits of carrot, as cow isn't vegetarian it seems - I always thought they were vegetarian and ate grass.....

Excellent, thanks for letting me know Gavin, I'll trust you to pass the location details on. Are you staying Sunday night btw?

Yes I'll pass on the info to Sam, Richard, and anyone else I rustle up.

Yes I've booked the Premier Inn for Saturday and Sunday night. They weren't booking a single night & it saves a long journey when I'm tired too. (y)

Panda1408 do you think its worth bring and use my offroad wheels? Considering im going to have to swap them once i arrive.

You should be fine on good road tyres, but your off road wheels may give you some welcome extra clearance so it is probably worth bringing them.(y) Others will be doing the same and swapping over wheels so no need to worry about that.

I'm driving up on ours, a little noisy but I don't fancy carrying them up and changing them. (n)

Room for a newbie on the Sunday? Just bought a slightly crispy 4x4, would be fun to take it out and see what it can do.

When you say that a sump guard is required - it has the bull bars with the frame underneath for protection - do you mean an actual flat guard or will it be OK do you reckon?

New to Pandas so be gentle :)
