Technical 1979 124 spider converting to electric fuel pump

No fuel from old mechanical fuel pump to carb. Thinking about just converting to electric pump. Worried about constant flow to carb

Used the filter and the 3/8 slides on easy but the 5/16 goes on hard. I also thought 3/8

Being Italian it may be metric 10mm? only guessing and roughly similar.

I have twin 40 idf’s and run around 3psi. You don’t need much more than that on carbs. I run the same on Dellortos on an Alfa and SU’s on an MG.
