hi as anyone had any experience of 175 tyres on there panda and if so how does it handle as to the thin 155 tyres

I have a 2008 Uno 1.2 and changed tyres from the standard 165 65 13 to 185 60 14, the car was like on rails and my Speedo was the same as my GPS, I have now got 175 70 13 as my 14's were stolen, when we went away for a few days and got back with the car on bricks. Worst part was that I had just bought brand new tyres a week before. The 175 70 13 are basically the same circumference so the Speedo is also accurate, I would never go back to the standard size, the car is very comfortable on the road.

My dynamic has had 175/70/13's on it for a few years and they are more comfortable, not sure handling is improved though.

Hadn't thought about this.
Just checked Oponeo website, and they say 175/70 is fine on the 5.00B 13 rims, producing a rolling diameter 0.5% smaller, so the speedo will read slightly higher. Now when I need more tyres, I'll have to think about that too.

When I first got mine, I was disappointed at the amount of understeer. (155/80 13)
A good tip is to search the tyre manufacturer's website for their recommended tyre pressures for your vehicle. Mine was originally on Continental, now have Vredestein on the front. Both these manufacturer's give higher pressures than in the Fiat handbook, and slightly different to each other. Running on these higher pressures has brought less understeer, and smoother and quieter running. I was surprised about it being smoother, as I expected higher pressures to mean a harder ride, but not so.

thanks Bill
what tyre pressures would 175 need

Not something I can answer.

Each tyre manufacturer should have a figure for their tyre on that application. Continental and Vredestein give different figures for the Panda for 155/80 13. The big brands have pressure tables on their websites, although sometimes difficult to find, but the cheaper ones do not.

Having chosen 175/70, finding a pressure might be more difficult, as it is not a 'normal' size for the Panda. Might need some research on what uses this size, compare them to Panda for weight, and then compare their pressures with the Panda ones. Then experiment using those figures as min and max.

Time to prowl car parks identifying tyre sizes perhaps. Try not to get arrested.

im to old for that Bill and can not run anymore so defo be in trouble ha haha
