Styling 17" wheels on a Grande Punto

Hi just thought that I would add my view (well my insurance companies (Admiral) view) on what is a mod. when I came to insure my gp I told them that I had 2 manufacturer optional extras (skydome and climate) as I was not sure if they were classed as mods.
They came back and told me that the skydome was and needed to be declared but the climate was not. It only changed my insurance premium by £3 so not a big deal I guess but when i asked what would happen if I needed to claim and hadnt told them they said that my insurance could have been invalid.:(

Just thought I would let ppl with fiat extras know

Crazy! I mean, in my view, anything that's factory fitted and comes on the car when I take delivery of my car IS STOCK! Live with it insurance guys! If the manufacturer allows me to choose from a list of 200 extra options and then at the end it fits them all before the car comes out of the factory, that's still STOCK! It's MY VERSION OF STOCK, but stock nevertheless!

They most probably need to be fitted to wheels with widths from 6" to 7". So I think they can. You still need to ask first, but I'm pretty sure you can.

To fall outside the rim envelope for 6J x 15 you would have to go up to 235/55. But why bother to look it up – if it’s the `wrong’ answer?

The search is for the `right’ answer - & any advice, guide, handbook, law, manual, protocol etc. that results in a `negative wave’ merely delays the continuing search for the `right’ answer … the one (& only) answer that the searcher perceives to be `right.’

The purpose of insurance is to take-you-back to the position you were in before your loss. If you buy a `stock’ £`S’ car & then decorate it with a further £`X’ of undeclared `options’ – then what planet are you living on where the InsCo will take you back to £S+X ?

Consider – will you give your solicitor any chance at all? The prosecution submit that you didn’t negligently or recklessly try to defraud your InsCo - but indeed you did it deliberately! The court finds … Oh what a surprise … for the prosecution. Good-day.
