Sorry to start another Bluetooth thread, but... Has anybody paired a C905 Sony Ericsson correctly? My voice dialling has gone and when I hang up a call, the radio doesnt come back on. It just stays on phone (but with no sound. if you know what i mean!)

Connected up my C905 for the first time tonight without any problems.

Made a call using the phone and I came through the speakers ok.

Havent received a call yet or used it when the radio is on though.

Im having problems with my nokia n85 pairing too. Spoken to the fiat dealer and they seem to think that there is a update that can be done to the car.

Basicaly bluetooth protocals are srewed.

I will post more after my car has been in.

Interested to hear any progress on the Nokia. My new 5800 refuses to pair with the Panda.

Edit: Added a file, the little woman in the stereo keeps repeating this to me. Does anyone know Italian?

It's very, very quiet - you will need the sound up full to hear it. Had to zip it as it won't let me upload a .mp3....

I have exactly the same problem with my new Nokia 5800.

After a week of trying today was the first time my phone actually asked for the code.

I've put it in, allowed access, pressed every button I can find but still get the Italian lady everytime I get in the car. Arrrrgh.

I'm going to keep trying (another call to the dealer coming up I think) - if I crack it I'll let you know. And if you get there first please tell me how!

Ah, there's something in the 100hp bluetooth book about automatically allowing pairings on Nokias.... could this be linked?

edit: Got a better recording, attached.

I can’t listen to the sound file at work, but is she saying “Accoppiare l’apparecchio”? I think it means ‘pair kit’.
Or maybe she’s saying “hello sexy” to me every time I switch my car on...

If you aren’t using Bluetooth – if you have a Nokia 5800 for example :bang: – you can switch her off by setting car radio channel ‘PHONE’ to minimum volume.

There is a little section for Nokia phones in the manual, but this concerns disabling the connection, not establishing it. (though I've tried doing the opposite of what it suggests)

Thankfully, the troubleshooting section is massively more helpful.

Problem: Your phone is not detected.
Solution: Repeat the connection phase.

:bang::cry:

We're hijacking the thread really, for which I apologise, but finally got the phone to pair.

All I did, for about the fifteenth time, is hold down the red and green phone buttons to reset the system. It then asked to pair in Italian, so I set the phone away doing so. Failed three or four times, but I kept trying again. It finally asked for a password which I put in (1234). It then held for ages doing nothing but saying 'connecting', so I took the key out of the ignition. Switched it back on and went back into the phone bluetooth, Pandaphone was now showing in My Devices. Gave it auto access permissions and it all works!

Yeeeess! Get in there you dancer!

Finally, finally, I think I've cracked it.

Clear car memory, pair new device... "unable to pair"... Repeat times 15.

16th attempt it asked for the password...woopeedoo! then twenty minutes of the screen saying "Connecting..." until I gave up and got out in a huff. Still, phone was showing as paired so I could turn authorisation on.

Still not working though. I'm bored of that Italian lady, to be honest. Bored to the tits, to be frank.

Out of interest I then tried the 'connect to audio device'... again the phone seemed to hang at "Connecting..." but engine off and back on again and it all seems to be working. For now. I am a Bluetooth god.

I can only echo HP's advice above; just keep on trying!

One funny thing you will find is that it'll mute the stereo when you go into some of the applications. Playing Bounce while waiting for my son at school, I was surprised to hear all the music from the game playing through the stereo!

Also plays your text message tone through the stereo when you have incoming...!
