I found this Italian version for Grande Punto. Hope it helps.

So, doing some more investigations, I have come across this link,
1000002118.jpg

The diagram says that R1 is an Engine relay, but mine doesn't have this relay, and others when they are engine specific it says it's for a certain engine, am I missing a relay???

Nevermind, R1 doesn't have a connector attached. Relay is fine on R3 as I swapped it for the matching one on R8 (Blowers) and they still work. Need to find the 12v supply out of the fuse box, urggghhh I hate wiring issues.

I have bit the bullet and bought a Haynes Manual for the wiring diagrams as i cant find them anywhere else, i know have the route of the power, what it goes through and when and what colour wires to check and what pins, lost the will to live for today, will come back to it tomorrow. or wed, or may just F🖕 it off till the weekend lol

Right, so, with the aid of the Haynes and a multimeter and a lot of time and patience I have determined that the ECU has indeed failed, why it's done so, f only knows, Italian electronics I guess. So, this is what I have determined.
I have a permanent live to the ECU, I have ignition live to the ECU when I turn the key to start, I do NOT have power out of the ECU on the ignition live to the fuse box which tells the Fuel pump to come on. So, there is something inside the ECU that is stopping the circuit, maybe this is the Immobilizer, maybe it's not, but since I can't communicate with the ECU via the OBD2 as well, I have decided to go out with a gallon of petrol and a match, only joking, I need to find either a virgin ECU or an ECU pack for a Doblo.

Should be easy to find one. Around me I see there are plenty.
Very weird though how yours stopped working. Did you do any work around the steering column? Immo has a little wire connected to the key contact, it works like an antenna used to read the code stored on key. The immo light remains on when you try to start the engine, right? That is the problem and yes, that is why the fuel pump doesn't engage. Really strange. I'm curious about what happened there, what's causing the issue. Without knowing, you risk not being able to fix it. Like putting a virginized ECU, if the code from the key cannot be read you'll be in exactly the same spot.

Finding an ECU isn't as easy as you may think as the part number is different for the Doblo than any other 1.4 8v, No, didn't touch anything around the steering column, was all in the engine bay and have searched everywhere for a blown fuse etc but, having traced the power it points to the ECU not working sadly

I don't think finding an ECU is easy, I was hoping (wishing for you) to find one, if you really need one. One is all you need, after all! :)
I had to replace mine on Punto and it took a little bit to find the exact match. Looking back, now I can say I had it really quickly on the car (compared to when I started looking) and at very good price, too. But at the time, I was very worried about not finding one.
If you need help with finding one on the market around me, you can say the exact code you need and I can take a look, see if there's anything and I will help you if you want to.

Well, she is running. I ordered a new ECU, it arrived, fitted it the same way I had the old one fitted, didn't fix it, as I was taking it off I really paid attention as to whether or not I had crossed the plugs somehow, nope, not possible, and then my brain went into, is there any chance I have fitted the ECU the wrong way around and whether or not the plugs have anything to stop them doing that, turns out, no they don't, you can fit the F'ing ECU backwards, like what the actual F!!!!!! Original ECU plugged back in the RIGHT way around, funnily enough, the EML comes on now and the Immobilizer light goes off and the engine fired straight into life like it had been running an hour ago. F#@* I hate fiats!!!!!

That is great news! Congrats!
And yes, it's bonkers that you can fit the ECU backgrounds. Never thought it would be possible. At Punto you can't. First of all the holes for the fitting screws are asymmetrical, one is lower than the corner and than, the plugs have different spaced channels, you can only connect the right one on its place.

It's literally like that on every other car I have ever worked on, such a stupid design. Oh well, new windscreen is going in on Tuesday as a chip became a crack and MOT next week and it should be good to go for another year.
