van starts great but keeps missing as if no fuel then it blows white smoke then runs ok for a while then same again changed fuel filter and air filter but no change any ideas cheers
 
van still missing wonder if it could be dirt in tank any ideas cheers
 
iv had problems my jtd i was thinking about taking the tank off give it a clean just incase my had been mil on and off but only once cut out my tank is massive looks i big ish job to do at home from what people have said to me it might be injectors or in tank pump
but i am still a novice lol if urs cut out and then run fine maybe get it on a code reader see if theres anything there
 
cheers was going to cut hole out just above tank remove pump and clean tank instead of removing tank all together thanks again
 
put injector cleaner in tank seams to have cleared misfire will see how it goes
 
misfire back cleaned tank out when u start van it runs great for 5 mins then misfires on and off and white smoke had it on code reader and no codes showing could it be injectors
 
when i turn ignition on i should hear fuel sender unit pumping diesel no noise there at all got power so fuel sender must be nacked is this right i should hear some noise when ignition on cheers
 
well with my JTD you hear the pump priming someone told me that the low pressure pump is under where the seats are threres a flap not seen it myself yet not looked
 
also can u tell me how u got the tank off any tips ?? thanks

was they much dirt in the tank :cool:
 
instead of taking tank off i cut 8" hole out just above it this gives u room to take intank out then i syphoned diesel out had a look in tank with torch cleaned it out with paper towels not much in tank but some ****e in pump it self theres no flap if u want i can tell u where i cut out
 
well i have got a problem with my van , mil on code reader code p0230 Fuel Pump Primary Circuit malfunction before i had an rail fuel pressure sensor and mass air flow sensor fault codes havent done anything to it as the van was fine for a good while i have found some info http://www.permoveo.ltd.uk/tabid/122/OBD-Error-Code/P0230/Diagnostics/Fiat/Default.aspx

the pain of it is i think it might be a wire i will have to take all the ply line out the back and check the relay have you done this or any tips
the strange thing is that the van has only cut out 3 times in the past 6 months

so i was thinking about taking a look in the tank like your self to see if there is crap in it
but now after finding the info from that link i think its a broken wire

i hope you get your scudo going again if you have any idears let me know
 
started van today sure intank fuel pump nacked when van was running disconnected intank pump and it still ran so mainpump must be doing all the work searched all over for pump not got one yet any ideas cheers
