long long time since i had this remap done but as i was at a rr i thought i would stick it on, don't seem to have done a lot :( and some people reckon this rr give higher than real results too, if they are right then i lost power, it a clean cda and a fan blowing straight into its air scoop too.

i also borrowed a gsr kit whilst there to see what that would do.

Have you had it serviced at a main dealer at all since the remap? they may have updated the ecu and wiped the map?

Thats really weird, so the red dot map has not gained you any bhp what so ever and you've experianced a loss of torque??

and with the GSR on you gain about 5 bhp?

your also losing a bit of power after 5200rpm and gaining it again at 6500rpm?

 im not an expert on maps but that seems crap to me

Using that formula I have been trying, I can't even get you as high as that

Dave didn't have a red dot remap, like me he was a spectator for the day but took a power run out of interest as it seemed rude not to:D

Dave, your torque figures also look low compared to mine. My car made 81.33 lb-ft and did not drop below 70 between 1500-5500 rpm :D I know mines a mk1 but I thought they made less torque than the mk2's.

GSR also lent me there development mk1 induction kit and power improved by 3.5% and torque by 4% across almost the whole rev range(y)

Unfortunately the map on Dave's car is from Red Dot, we bought it from them - which is why we have had to slowly redo any mapping we had purchased from them and no longer use them for the reasons shown by your results.

Dave, we are more than willing to redo your car free of charge with a lot better mapping.

I have noticed a reacurring trend here from angel tuning they put the blame on red dot maps in another thread as well dealing with a JTD they say they also bought the map for that one as well ..sounds like a cop out if you ask me (n)

If you knew the map was duff shouldnt you have contacted those that have put it on.

Personally I wouldnt go for a remap anymore. There is a lot of conflicting info and i would rather spend my money on other things.

The best increase i had was chipping the coupe - Gtech chip proved to be well worth the money and cost me £35.

Other than that not interested anymore!

Thanks for the misrepresentation of facts as you have done it 2 nasty pms too, claiming that you never slagg off competition. An outright lie.

Downloading generic maps and making claims is not what professionals do. This is why every map is done at Red Dot on a rolling road.

And I know as well as you do that you are still using quite some of Red Dots generic maps.

I want this argument to finish here and if you do continue to insult us, as well as many of the trusted forum members, I will see no other way than stopping you by court order.

but you said i had a diffrent ecu to other speedgears you had done an had to sent away for a diffrent one to the one i had, and reddot wasnt where you told me you was sending it
