My MJ lost power the other day, and my OBD reader and MultiECUScan software tell me that it was a turbo overboost fault. Seems this is quite common, and my mechanic had freed up the turbo actuator linkage earlier this year, so perhaps no surprise it's happened again. The linkage is not exactly easy to get at, but can anyone tell me what is the best solution for freeing it up and making sure it is fine for years?

Can anyone help here? Is it simply a matter of grabbing the turbo actuator linkage with a long nosed grip and waggling it from side to side, to free it up?

My multi- jet is a 56 plate to free the actuator rod look upwards close to the block and you will see the rod leaving the actuator then with a long screw driver/tyre leaver prise the rod towards the turbo it will probably move half inch max... Sorted
